Abstract : This paper reports the utilization of ZnS-coated TiO2 as photoanode for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The annealing treatment has been given on the samples in order to enhance the contact between TiO2 and ZnS. It has been found that the optical reflectance is significantly influenced by annealing temperature. According to dark current curves, the leak current is smaller than the forward bias current. The device with ZnS-coated TiO2 photoanode underwent the annealing treatment at 450 oC performed the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 0.791%. The energy level diagram of the device with the structure of TiO2/ZnS/N719/electrolyte/Pt is presented in this paper.
