Abstract : This paper comprises characterization as well as application of pervoskite material. Perovskite light sensitizer material methyl ammonium tri-lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3) was synthesized by direct deposition of equimolar concentration of CH3NH3I and lead iodide (PbI2) indimethylformamide (DMF) solution and characterized using various experimental tools, which are x-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive analysis of x-ray (EDAX). PSSC has been fabricated using methyl ammonium tri-lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3) pervoskite and polyethylene oxide (PEO) solid polymer electrolyte sandwiched between perovskite working electrode and platinum counter electrode and its comparative photovoltaic performance with the CH3NH3SnCl3 at room environment has been reported in this paper. The fabricated lead based PSSC shows a short circuit current density (Jsc) of 1.47 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.64 V, fill factor (FF) of 0.60 and efficiency (ɳ) of 0.59 % and tin based shows efficiency (ɳ) of 0.19 % at one sun condition.
