Effect of Hydrogen Peroxide Concentration on The Optical Properties, Morphology and Surface Topography of Zinc Oxide Thin Films

Abstract : The objectives for this project is to fabricate nano-structure of porous ZnO on soda-lime-silicate (SLS) glass using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at different concentration solution and to evaluate the optical and surface morphology of zinc oxide thin films by a chemical etching process using various characterization analysis methods. The ZnO thin films were etched using H2O2 concentrations of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30% with an etching time of 50 s and 100 s, each. Then the samples were characterized by optically and morphologically by several characterization techniques. As for the outcome, the best sample of concentration and etching times is 30% of H2O2 with etching time 100 s.
